The format is for everyone is to bring something to share for the meal which starts at 6.00 p.m. We plan a faith-sharing time from 7.00 p.m. and have 30 minutes of business from 8.30 p.m.

Put the dates for the next Mount Martha retreat weekend in your diary now. We have planned it for 15-17 November.

Contemplative Worship

Based on Ignatian spirituality, each hour-long service has a theme focus for reflection on personal experience and a Bible text. The quiet reflection time is followed by sharing faith responses. A light supper follows. The service starts at 7:00pm.

Contemplative worship is held every second and fourth Sunday at the CMN Church on the corner of Cromwell and Motherwell Streets, South Yarra and in congregational members’ homes.  To receive a copy of the order of worship to follow, contact

Prayer for the People
Where are you? Where were you? How will I know when and if you are there? Or listening?
Lord, in this busy world, let us not forget to pray.
Create in us a spirit of peace and justice that we may make your kingdom a reality in all the lives of the broken and those who live in despair. Lord, hear us.
Help us know your presence in our grief and, by being open to your presence, not to shut out the grief of others by our fears and prejudices.
We pray for a sense of the wonder of creation, for a sense of the ever-lasting, for the experience of eternal love.
Helps us know our deepest calling and to fulfil that calling
Bring peace to those with rage and hate in their hearts.
Guide our community in faith, and build us up in love.
